I am a UX designer by day, an artist by night, and an allergy culinary explorer all of the time. 🙂

In 2010, I was diagnosed with several food allergies. I started researching recipes online for things I could eat. I’m happy to say that today I’m a better, healthier cook than I ever was before the allergies and there’s no poached chicken in sight! That’s a silver lining that I created out of my health issues. It has inspired me to create this blog (that plus my friends and family won’t stop pestering me for all my recipes).

As I started working on the site, I realized I had a lot more to share with other allergy sufferers than recipes. I want to give you hope. Four years ago, I desperately needed to know that life would get better. I needed to know not only that I could make and eat delicious food, but that I could find a practical way to fit all the home cooking into my lifestyle. I needed to know I could find alternative health care practitioners that would empower me to make myself better. I needed to know that I wasn’t making the journey alone. I would make wonderful new friends who would love and support me without judgment or impatience.

So, here I am, optimistically midway through my health journey. I want to share with you all the knowledge that I’ve gained and will continue to pursue, so that you will have hope that it does get better and you are not alone.

August 2014: I’ve been nominated for a Leibster Award!

I want to hear from you
