Corn-free Everyday Link Party – Jan 20, 2015

Welcome to the First Corn-free Everyday Link Party!

Corn-free Everyday is a weekly link party where people can share their allergy-free recipes, gain knowledge about allergy-related topics/issues, and have fun with corn-free crafts.

I’ve wanted to provide a corn-free link party since I started Creating Silver Linings almost a year ago. For those of us with corn allergies, having a aggregated page with all safe recipes is such a luxury.

Most link parties (even allergy-friendly ones) are limited in usefulness to those of us with corn allergies. Like a treasure hunter looking for gold, I  skim down the thumbnails of a link party and find only a handful of potentially safe recipes—if I’m lucky. It’s like looking at a restaurant menu and immediately knowing that there are only one or two items that you might get to enjoy once you’ve grilled the wait staff on the ingredients and kitchen practices.

Corn-less Tortillas

Toasted Puffy TortillaTo kick the link party off right, I’m sharing my most popular corn-free recipe, Corn-less Tortillas. This one recipe gets more hits than my home page! It’s a great corn tortilla substitute as well as a use-up for all that leftover pulp from making nut milks!

Link Party Rules & Guidelines

Here are the abbreviated rules. The full rules and guidelines are available here, including a list of hidden corn ingredients.

  1. Link a maximum of two corn-free posts: recipes, healthy living tips, or crafts.
  2. Be nice, leave a comment and visit other posts.
  3. Have fun!

The Corn-free Everyday link party will start on its regular day this Sunday. I was just too excited to wait, so this party will be a little shorter. Once the link party gets enough weekly submissions, I’ll start a weekly feature post showcasing my favorites!
