Top 8 Allergens Doesn’t Even Begin to Cut It
When the food industry tries to label food allergens, it’s usually only the top eight. This doesn’t cover corn. It also doesn’t cover celery or citrus or cilantro and many other foods that don’t begin with the letter “C”. And yes, I do know people who have severe food allergies to each of these foods.

Baby It’s Cold Outside!

Corn-free Everyday Link Party – Feb 01, 2015 & Craft Supplies
Corn-free Crafting
Since starting the link party, some interesting questions have come up about corn in craft supplies. I didn’t know some of the answers off the top of my head so I began researching. Apparently crayons do have corn in the glue used to hold the wrapper on. Who knew! Basically corn is cheap in this country. So if it saves the manufacturers a few pennies to use corn-derived ingredients, they will go for the corn every time.
Visiting Montréal with Food Allergies
This was my second vacation in Montréal. Based on previous experience, I was very careful to plan my hotel around kitchenette needs, metro access, and attractions I wanted to visit.
