I was browsing through some gluten-free/paleo bread recipes and I noticed they all had the same issue. The bread stays doughy in the middle and it takes forever to bake. So, I thought, “What if I took out the middle?”…and the donut roll was born!
My version of a kitchen salad is a cross between a waldorf salad and a cobb salad. I really like the tart crunch of apple in an otherwise savory dish. I also like everything finely chopped so that you can get a taste of everything in each bite. This is my go-to lunch during the Summer. It’s easy to make, filling, and doesn’t heat up the kitchen. Let’s face it—not heating of any part of the house unnecessarily in a top priority in the South during the Summer.
Not long after I started making green smoothies, I discovered the need for a non-sweet smoothie. I’m all for a purple berry explosion of a smoothie but not every day. I still have a sweet tooth, but what I consider to be too sweet has changed drastically since I went paleo-ish.
